BMW is recalling about 80,000 vehicles over a brake system issue that could lead to crashes.
The recall encompasses a large number of 2023 and 2024 models, including sports-utility vehicles and 5- and 7-series sedans.
The vehicles’ integrated brake system could fail, resulting in a loss of power-brake assist or malfunction of their antilock brake and dynamic stability control systems, according to a notice on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
Dealers will repair the brake system free of charge. The German automaker will mail owners notifications of the recall on April 5.
