Cox Automotive has integrated UVeye’s artificial intelligence inspection technology into its vAuto inventory-management platform, bringing automated condition assessments into the appraisal and sourcing process.
Select dealerships are testing the integration to streamline how trade-ins are identified in the service drive, appraised, and added to inventory. The goal is to create a faster, more accurate process for determining a vehicle’s condition, value and market potential, and to generate real-time sales offers.
“This is about helping dealers act faster and smarter,” said Derek Hansen, vAuto vice president of operations. “We can now present informed offers, create merchandising assets, and source inventory using real condition data in real time.”
UVeye CEO Amir Hever said the integration “automates inspections and delivers instant, data-driven appraisals,” helping bridge the gap between service and sales operations.
Integration Features
Automated appraisals using real-time condition data
Instant trade-in offers informed by market insights and AI scans
High-resolution merchandising images captured before reconditioning
Direct sourcing from the service lane
Brickell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Miami is among participating dealerships. “If we can scan a car, appraise it accurately, and generate a live offer while the customer is still in service — that’s a new level of opportunity,” said General Manager Jonathan Noda.
Cox Automotive has used AI for more than a decade to enhance wholesale imaging and damage detection in the Manheim Marketplace. The company plans to refine the integration with dealer feedback and release additional updates.
